David Carson - Is an American graphic designer who is best known for his innovative magazine design and also use of experimental typography. He was the art director for the magazine Ray Gun. David Carson is one of the most influential graphic designers of the nineties. He was born on the 8th of September in Texas. His family moved to New York city four years later. He has travelled all around the world. Carson owns two studios one in California and one in Zurich. He has traveled a lot because of his father. These journeys affected him and the first signs of his talent were shown at a very young age. In 1980 he went to the University of Arizona on a two week graphic course this was his first contact with Graphic Design. He also attended San Diego State University as well as Oregon College of Commercial Art. He met his first influence which was his teacher on a three-week workshop in graphic design, Hans-Rudolf Lutz.
